March Meet Media Day

Media Contact Bill Groak arranged a well received Press Conference dubbed "March Meet Media Day" at the Bakersfield Convention and Visitors Bureau. In attendance were Mayor Harvey L. Hall, Don Cohen of the CVB, Famoso Manager Blake Bowser and Brad Thomson with his Top Fuel dragster. With virtually every TV station and newspaper in the valley represented, Mayor Hall presented Bowser with a well deserved award from the city and Don Cohen introduced the media to Thompson. That was followed by a fire-up of the dragster and a question and answer session.

The entire affair was short and sweet but served its purpose. By the end of the eleven o'clock news most everyone in the valley knew something big was happening this weekend at Famoso.
